Kat Vandal is a French artist based in London. She categorises her art within the ‘Happy Art movement’.
More specifically, her art is a celebration of her childhood with a touch of pop and urban art inspired by the streets of London and the 80’s nostalgia.
She merges recycled toys, lights and vibrant colours with her signature doodles and lettering to invite others to rediscover the magic of childhood.
It started when she found herself emotionally unable to part with her kid’s outgrown clothes, toys and drawings, but instead, found joy in repurposing them into colourful works of art.

Artist Daniela Luschin addresses in her work the idea that it is improper to say or write the word fuck or german "ficken" – even if one removes the "c." However, she emphasizes that it is just as improper to strip women – or people in general – of their dignity. In her paintings, Luschin focuses on the "fucked of life" / "gefickt vom Leben", the forgotten and the lost. She portrays some among the millions, even billions, of women throughout history. Her protagonists are women who never had even a glimmer of hope to realize their potential, marked by a misogynistic fate.
For Luschin, the history of women is, to a large extent, a history of the forgotten and the oppressed. In her series, she paints fictional women who were deprived of their opportunities and symbolically gives them something they should have been entitled to from birth: dignity. Her works stand as representatives for all those forgotten and downtrodden throughout history – the fuc_ed. / die gefi_kten.

“Timeless Flow” explores the connection between elegance, movement, and harmony in nature. This collection combines the monochrome sophistication of classic portraiture with the nature and the human figure, blending the past and present through both abstract and figurative elements. The works capture the constant motion with fluid lines and organic shapes, creating a visual journey that reflects the rhythm of nature and the human experience. The collection bridges time, where shadows and forms blend, and the beauty of nature becomes both abstract and real.
The exhibition is about how we perceive time—what remains constant and what is always changing.
About the Artist finding the flow:
My artistic journey started with portraiture, where I painted family and friends as personal gifts. I enjoyed this, but at the same time, I needed more abstraction. Organic forms, inspired me, offering a sense of energy and calm.
I found myself at a crossroads—should I continue focusing on portraiture, or should I explore the abstract movement that I felt so connected to? After much exploration, I chose to merge both worlds. The process was liberating, and I began to adapt to nature's flow, infusing figurative portrait elements into my abstract works. This fusion became a harmony between the human form and nature’s organic motion—a delicate balance between realism and abstraction.
My approach reflects the idea that we must adapt to nature rather than resist it. Nature is powerful and beautiful—it shapes us, and we must respect and protect it. For me, the abstract part of my work has become a form of meditation, a way to reconnect with the natural rhythms around me. When I add the figurative elements, it anchors the work in reality, while still allowing space for the natural flow to guide the piece.
I continue to work in this way because it feels true to me. By blending abstraction and portraiture, I can create art that speaks to both the timeless beauty of nature and the human experience. This balance is where I find my creative flow.

SHEvolution - This title symbolizes the female contribution to progressive societal development through art and activism. Art has always been activism, as it has sparked divergent opinions and polarization all throughout history. The world is changing – and women are at the forefront of a movement that raises awareness of injustices, envisions the future, and places the strength of the feminine at the center.
The seven artists collaborating with The Gallery of Things for our permanent exhibition in 2025 unite creativity, sustainability, feminism, and activism.
They create works that present the world in a new light. Here, beauty and meaning come together – art that not only represents the world but transforms it.
The exhibition offers visionary artworks that showcase the potential for social change.
It is an impressive journey through topics such as equality, activism, and sustainability, where we encounter female artists who open new perspectives with their works and inspire us.

Guided by the motto “giving art a space“ I wanted to create a place that feels like a living room to foster an environment where everyone—whether seasoned art enthusiasts or newcomers— can feel welcomed and at home. By being present and approachable, I want to invite everyone to ask questions, explore, and connect with art in an open and meaningful way.
The goal is simple: to create a vibrant space where happiness, curiosity, inclusion and community meet and flourish.
